Recreation Programmer(Regular Full-Time)The North Okanagan is an exceptional place to live, work and explore. We have an opening for the regular, full-time position of Recreation Programmer. The successful candidate will have a diploma in event planning, tourism, community recreation, public administration or a related field and hold a valid BC driver?s license. You are highly organized, a creative thinker and provide superb customer service with the ability to deal tactfully with the public. You possess sound marketing and planning skills and are familiar with recreation booking software, such as PerfectMind. You also have excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Outlook). A minimum of two years related experience, preferably within local government, is required. Reporting to the Manager, Culture and Community Services, the Recreation Programmer is responsible for developing and implementing recreational programs and services at White Valley parks and recreation facilities. The incumbent will be primarily located in Lumby facilities.
