*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with sheet metal, demonstrating proficiency in various fabrication techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality installations and repairs in a variety of construction settings. *Duties* * Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. * Perform welding tasks as needed for metal assembly and repairs. * Execute construction painting, tile laying, caulking, drywall installation, and restoration tasks as required. * Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols. * Troubleshoot issues that arise during the installation or repair processes. *Experience* * Minimum 1 year experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role in construction or manufacturing. * Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics. * Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment. * Experience with construction painting, tile laying, caulking, drywall work, and restoration is highly desirable. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high-quality standards. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Language: * English (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationSurrey, BC
