He will test and calibrate machinery to ensure it is operating at maximum efficiency. He will also perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, replace broken or malfunctioning components, clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of machines, equipment and facilities in production departments.</li><li>Ensure and increase the reliability, performance and longevity of equipment: different conveyors, grinders, extruders, filtration systems, and pneumatic, hydraulic and pumping systems.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical problems, provide rapid and innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdown by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, assembly, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting and resolving analytical problems.</li><li>Operate a mill, lathe, drill, grinder, saw, and all other useful machine shops.</li><li>Installation, removal and reinstallation of processes and equipment</li><li>Modify packaging machines for new product processes</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections</li><li>Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems</li><li>Quickly respond to equipment-related questions in a customer-oriented manner</li><li>Contact the equipment manufacturer for troubleshooting if necessary</li><li>Send a request to an equipment manufacturer to modify the machines to improve performance and efficiency.</li><li>Complete maintenance records and document work performed.</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify and address equipment issues.</li><li>Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.</li><li>Following the directives and instructions of his direct supervisor regarding his assignment and rotation to the various workstations.</li><li>Complying with occupational health and safety standards (example: wearing PPE, lockout, etc.)</li><li>Following the handover and cleaning procedures at the end of the shift.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>E.P or equivalent technical degree in mechanics or related field.</li><li>(3-5) years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting.</li><li>1 year or more of experience in the recycling field is an asset.</l
