We extend our respect to all First Nations, Inuit and Mtis Peoples for their valuable past and present contributions to this land.Under the direction of the school principal and the instructional supervision of the classroom teacher, the Developmental Assistant is responsible for: assisting with the planning and implementation of programs for students with exceptional needs;<p> implements programs to develop gross and fine motor skills, communication, self-regulation, integration, socialization and self-care;<p> assisting in evaluating progress; <p> assisting with general school activities;<p> other duties as assigned by the supervisor. <p>Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Developmental Services Worker diploma, Nursing, Health Sciences or an equivalent program; <p> 2 years of related experience; <p> CPR and First Aid; <p> good written and oral communication skills; <p> initiative and commitment; <p> and the ability to work as a team member. <p> Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. <p>This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of $47,612 to $51,304 ($31.63 to $34.08 hourly)(to be prorated if part-time hours). A partial, or full employees benefits package is also provided, depending on the hours. Part Time Developmental Assistants are system hires based on staffing allocations from Student Services and the hours may change from time to time.The start date is approximately December 11, 2024.
