*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of project management principles. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, vendors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Effectively manage project scope by ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved using a change order process
* Respond to RFP's for design-build projects and lead design teams through evaluation and design process.
* Proactively lead, coach and motivate project team members and be accountable for team performance and results
* Review plans & specifications to determine scope of work and define project requirements
* Assist the estimating manager in developing project estimates
* Work with project stakeholders to develop proposals from project estimates (scope, schedule, cost, team, execution plan)
* Ensure regular communication and proactive client relationship management.
* Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality materials and services are delivered on schedule.
* Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
*Skills*
* Degree in engineering, construction or project management, or technical school diploma and extensive practical project management experience on applicable project work
* 5+ years of work experience in engineering, construction or other related technical field with increasing levels of responsibility and development
* 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction sector
* Estimating and business development experience is an asset
* Attention to detail but ability to focus on the big picture
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
* Proficient in MS project, Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills
