Job Description _*Apprentice Electrician Level 2 to 4*_ *Job Overview:* The Apprentice Electrician assists Journeyperson Electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and regulations in Manitoba. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems, be willing to learn from experienced professionals, and be committed to safety. *Key Responsibilities:* ? Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. ? Follow electrical codes and regulations in Manitoba to ensure all work is completed safely and correctly. ? Learn from experienced professionals to develop skills in the electrical trade. ? Maintain a clean and organized work area. ? Help prepare job sites for installation of electrical systems and equipment. ? Drive to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. *Specific job duties include:* ? Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, conduit, and fixtures. ? Assist in the testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. ? Use a variety of hand and power tools. ? Help install and maintain lighting power systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, lighting controls, distributions and controls. ? Assist in connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. ? Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, defects, or malfunctions. ? Help diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems and equipment. ? Replace or repair damaged electrical components. ? Other duties as requested by management *Requirements:* ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Enrollment in a recognized Apprenticeship Program for Electricians. ? Ability to work well in a team environment. ? Solid understanding of basic electrical principles. ? Commitment to safety. ? Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge. ?
