The Receptionist performs a variety of confidential clerical and receptionist duties associated with the daily operation of an effective business. The Concierge will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and other staff members. As the first point of contact to the public friendliness, positive attitude and a team approach is key
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* Answers telephone and greets visitors. Responds to routine inquiries in person and by phone, relaying calls and messages to the appropriate personnel
* Regular interaction with residents answering their questions, redirecting, responding to their requests
* Conducts a daily census of residents at meal time
* Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Department Manager or Executive Director
* Participates as a member of the work team and provides support to other team members and departments
* Assists in the daily operations of the residence by doing the following tasks:
* Help in the dining room by providing coffee and tea service and clearing dishes at lunch and dinner seatings
* Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby area by a daily vacuum and sanitizing common touch points
* Other tasks as assigned
The ideal candidates will possess:
* Previous experience working in a similar position required (including a working knowledge of office procedures)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of Excel and Word
* Proficient in Yardi software, with experience in property management functions, lease tracking, and financial reporting ex: charge batches.
* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
* Combination of sitting, walking, standing throughout the shift
* The successful candidate will be required to work 60 - 75 hours bi-weekly with varying shifts/hours each day, including some weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.17 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
