<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The HVAC Controls Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC control systems. This role ensures that building automation systems (BAS) operate efficiently and effectively to meet client requirements. The technician will also diagnose and resolve issues in HVAC control systems to optimize energy usage and system performance.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Installation & Programming:</strong></p><ul><li>Install, configure, and commission HVAC control systems, including sensors, actuators, and controllers.</li><li>Program building automation systems to meet client specifications and operational needs.</li><li>Perform system integration with third-party systems</li></ul><p><strong>Maintenance & Troubleshooting:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections of HVAC control systems to identify potential issues.</li><li>Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, including hardware, software, and communication issues.</li><li>Update and replace components, such as controllers and field devices</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation & Reporting:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and maintain accurate records of system installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.</li><li>Generate detailed reports on findings, repairs, and system performance for clients and internal teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Customer Interaction & Support:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with clients to understand system requirements and provide tailored solutions.</li><li>Provide training to building operators on system functionality and best practices.</li><li>Respond to service calls and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance & Safety:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and company policies.</li><li>Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Education & Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.</li><li>Certification in BAS systems, HVAC controls, or related disciplines (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Honeywell, or equivalent).</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of experience in HVAC control systems or building automation systems.</li><li>Hands-on experience with control system hardware, software, and networking.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and controls theory.</li><li>Proficiency in programming BAS platforms and tools.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and rooftops.</li><li>Capability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Willingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours when needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li><li>Professional development and training opportunities.</li><li>Company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicle</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Temp Air Control is a well-established HVAC company with over 35 years of experience, providing exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services to commercial and industrial clients.
