*JOB POSTING* _Human Resources_ *Middlesex Hospital Alliance* *Primary site: Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital* *Posting #166-2024* *REGULAR PART-TIME PHARMACY TECHNICIAN * *(Shifts: 8-hours, Days, 7day/week coverage, may be subject to change)* *Reports to: Lead Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Manager* *Job Duties* * Performs duties, as required, in conjunction with the pharmacists and pharmacy leadership, for the efficient operation of the pharmacy department. · Travel among sites is required on a regularly scheduled basis. *Job Qualifications* · Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program · Registered & Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists · Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience (including sterile compounding) and/or community pharmacy experience preferred · Previous experience with Cerner systems preferred · Ability to interact effectively with patients and other health care professionals · A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail particularly in the areas of computer order entry, mathematical calculations, IV admixture, compounding, and prescription filling · Knowledge and experience with pharmacy ordering and inventory · Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to change · Ability to work with minimal supervision and initiative to work independently as an effective team member · Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills · Demonstrated excellence in attendance · Basic computer skills in a ?windows? environment · Proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) or vaccination records and proof of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations · Record for Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months _\*The MHA is a __*FRAGRANCE REDUCED*_ _environment\*_ Qualified individuals interested in this opportunity may submit a resume by using the online form.
