*CREWING OFFICER*
Tsawwassen
*The Opportunity*
We are looking for a dynamic *Crewing Officer* to join our team and play a key role in meeting our operational needs. As a Crewing Officer, you are comfortable with planning and scheduling staff, reviewing staff training needs, and providing leadership. You are able to optimize budgets and labour resource usage, forecast staffing needs, analyze service plans, and design operational models.
*The Role*
* Lead the long-term and short-term planning efforts, ensuring effective resource scheduling to meet operational goals.
* Work closely with the Crewing Manager to coordinate the planning and scheduling staff, set priorities, and ensure team success.
* Drive operational efficiencies by optimizing labor and budget resources, analyzing service plans, and developing strategies to reduce time, labor, and costs.
* Forecast staffing requirements, create efficient schedules, and adjust operations to improve efficiency and customer service.
* Collaborate with Human Resources to identify training, recertification, and staffing needs, ensuring timely recruitment and efficient resource deployment.
* Oversee compliance with regulatory, operational, and collective agreement standards while delivering exceptional customer service to employees and managers.
*What you bring to the team*
* Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 5-7 years of office experience, preferably in a complex unionized environment.
* Familiarity with scheduling systems and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with (Smart Time, Oracle HR, Cognos) is an asset.
* 5+ years of experience in supervising, training, and developing staff.

The target salary range: $75,100.00 - $93,600.00 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate?s knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
