*Position: Sheet Metal Fabricator* *Location:* Corma Inc., Concord, Ontario, Canada *Posted:* December 23, 2021. *Company Overview:* Corma Inc. is the leading manufacturer of corrugated plastic pipe machinery in the world. We design and manufacture the equipment at our head office in Canada and have a strong 45 year history of manufacturing excellence. *Position Overview:* We are currently looking for a *Sheet Metal Fabricator* who will be responsible for fabricating and installing sheet metal for custom machinery for the plastic industry. There will also be a requirement to fabricate steel framing for industrial machinery. *Plant Address:* Corma Inc. 10 McCleary Court Concord, Ontario Canada L4K 2Z3 *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Must be a team player who is dependable and reliable * the ability to follow and read blueprints * measure, cut, or shape metal and other materials, using power tools and large shop equipment * knowledge of proper use of tools and methods of all aspects of metal working * Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal * Measure and mark sheet metal according to template * Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces * Cut materials using power tools or by hand * Fit and weld sheet metal parts * Install sheet metal products according to specifications and fabrication drawings * Fabricate steel framing for industrial machine framing * Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification * Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets * Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units *Qualifications* * minimum 2 years of experience as a sheet metal fabricator * ability to work independently in a busy environment * experience with routine maintenance operations * highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment We offer a comprehensive benefits package, as well as a friendly work environment.
