<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>HVAC Service Technicians core duties are as follows, but not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>On site service of HVAC/R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration)</li><li>Preventative maintenance programs</li><li>New installation or retrofit of heating and cooling systems (can be on construction sites)</li><li>Start-up and commissioning of new and repaired equipment</li><li>Trouble shoot, service and repair or installation of various control systems. (Understanding of BMS is an asset but not mandatory)</li><li>Work on heat pumps and hydronic heating</li><li>Install or repair gas fired appliances. Leak detection and gas pressure calibration.</li><li>Provide repair solutions or recommendations to aid in project planning or quoting.</li><li>Maintain and operate a company vehicle</li><li>Participate in company COR safety program</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Journeyman Red Seal status from an accredited HVAC/R program</li><li>Ability to read blueprints and electrical/control diagrams</li><li>Able to use a variety of hand and power tools, meters and testing equipment, rigging and handling equipment to preform duties</li><li>Highly motivated and able to work independently</li><li>Able to communicate with a positive attitude and a high level of customer service skill</li><li>Strong written communication skills for completion of necessary paperwork</li><li>Able to critically think and make decisions to provide the highest quality of service</li><li>Safety conscious</li><li>Valid class 5 driver's license and a clean drivers abstract</li><li>Be able to provide a criminal records check</li><li>Any other trade related tickets or certifications are an asset<br /> </li></ul></div>Company Description<div>BHP Mechanical Ltd. is a locally owned and operated mechanical company that services the greater Edmonton area.
