*Technician roles and responsibilities:* * Fire alarm and emergency lighting inspections, reports, repairs, and service calls on various makes and models of equipment * Fire Monitoring installations, inspections & service * Surveillance cameras/systems (CCTV) and access control installation, maintenance, and service calls * Working on ladders safely, good use of hand tools, various test equipment * Driving a vehicle, maintaining a good driving record, and ensuring vehicle maintenance is done as needed * Operating a scissor lift * Maintain a professional and positive attitude * Mentoring of more junior/less experienced staff *Required Skills:* * Applicants must have minimum 1 year of experience as a service technician in the fire alarm industry * Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician * Ability to lift up to 75lbs and climb ladders or scaffolding * Good computer skills, typing, competence with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Prior experience with Access Control/Burglary/Video Surveillance an asset Proof of certifications, Police Information Check and a Drivers Abstract will be required prior to receiving an offer of employment.
