Looking to hire a dispensing optician and/or optometric assistant in North Vancouver. Full-time or part-time. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working at an optical/optometry clinic, but also willing to train the right candidate who is motivated to learn. Salary will depend on experience. Duties include the following: -Reception (answering phone calls, scheduling patients, triaging patients, invoicing, processing insurance claims, taking payments, patient recalls, follow-ups) -Managing inventory -Dispensing glasses (frame selection, lens selection, measurements, ordering) -Frame repairs -Ordering contact lenses -Assisting patients with questions, troubleshooting problems and conflict management in a friendly yet professional manner -Making all patients feel welcome -Proficiency with computers and using medical record software -Social media marketing Please send resume to discuss further.
