Job details
*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage residential and commercial real estate files from inception to closing independently.
* Open files using LDD.
* Conduct and review comprehensive title searches and off-title searches.
* Prepare requisition letters and resolve any title-related issues.
* Draft and prepare all required legal documents relating to purchase and sale, mortgage documents and closing documentation.
* Prepare trust ledgers, statements of adjustments, and statements of accounts.
* Liaise professionally and effectively with clients, brokers, lenders, financial institutions, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
* Provide updates and ensure that all parties are informed at every step of the process.
* Oversee and complete all aspects of residential purchases, sales, refinances, bridge loans, and private mortgages.
* Coordinate closings, prepare registration documents, and finalize reporting letters for banks and clients.
* Ensure compliance with the Law Society of Ontario?s trust account regulations.
* Accurately maintain and balance trust accounts for all transactions.
* Organize and coordinate files to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage deadlines and ensure timely progression of all transactions.
*Qualifications*
* *Experience:* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk managing files independently from start to finish.
* *Education:* Secondary School or above, Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from an accredited institution.(Preferred)
* *Skills:*
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in *English, Hindi, and Punjabi*.
* *Technical Proficiency * to use the software and tools including *LDD*, *Teraview*, *Teranet*, *Unity*, *Microsoft Office Suite*, *FCT and FNF Online Portals,* *Assyst*.
