RESPONSIBILITIES: * Takes orders, expedites and serves food and beverages accurately within time guidelines. * Maintains and demonstrates expert knowledge of products, events and promotions. * Introduces or presents live entertainment as required * Truly orchestrates a memorable experience for our guests, accommodating and anticipating needs at every turn while going the extra mile. * High attention to detail - particularly when handling special requests such as allergies and intolerances * Graciously handle guest concerns with the support of the management team, ensuring that every guest ultimately leaves happy * Helping to maintain a clean and organized restaurant and bar area * Perform other duties as necessary QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in a bartending role is considered an asset, particularly cash handling experience using a POS system * Serving It Right (BC) and Lotto Certification required prior to start date (willing to train for the right candidate) * Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment an asset * Demonstrates a professional attitude and fosters a fun and collaborative environment * Ability to carry up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray, and must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours per day. * Flexible, weekend and evening availability * Food Safe, First Aid and WHMIS considered an asset * Must have strong communication skills, in English, both verbal and written. * A neat, clean, well-groomed appearance * Must be currently legally able to work in Canada $17.75 - $19.75 per hour + Gratuities Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.81-$19.37 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Tips Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Experience: * Serving: 1 year (preferred) * Bartending: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Serving It Right (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-16
