Job Description A Millwright, or Industrial Mechanic, is a professional who operates industrial machinery found in construction sites, factories, power plants, and other sectors. Their duties include installing equipment, repairing items, and transferring machinery to needed locations. Millwright Responsibilities: Work safely and effectively, adhering to all applicable Federal, Provincial, Unionized, local, company, and facility health and safety, fire, environmental, quality, and general ordinances/policies. Support company objectives by enhancing facility safety, product quality, and manufacturing productivity while reducing costs. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve the operation and maintenance of equipment and production systems. Troubleshoot production and quality issues in collaboration with operating personnel. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment in a timely manner.
