Position #: 194746 Expected Start Date: December 17, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: EMS Services - Carnduff City/Town: Carnduff Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Standby Hours of Work: 225 hours per 8 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, or their designate, the EMT/PCP, responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service; and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Clinical Practice Protocols and established policies and procedures Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Valid Class 4 driver's license- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)Other Education and Training- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)Competencies- Basic - Writing skills- Basic - Decision making skills- Basic - Interpersonal skills- Basic - Conflict resolution skills- Basic - Verbal communication skills- Basic - Critical thinking skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Ability to work independently- Ability to adapt to changing conditionsOther Information- Standard Hours- Carnduff is located approximately 91 km east of Estevan- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- For more information on the town of Carnduff please visit http://...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationCarnduff, SK
