People like you!This is clerical, manual and custodial work entailing responsibility for the receipt, maintenance, control, storage and security of a variety of criminal, drug and stolen, seized and found property exhibits for the Burnaby RCMP Detachment. An incumbent prepares and maintains files, records, reports related to the work; prepares routine correspondence to appropriate contacts regarding acquisition and disposition of exhibits and seized and found property; is independently responsible for the safekeeping of all exhibits and for controlling the internal and external movement of same; assists in the destruction of drug, liquor and dangerous exhibits; gives evidence in Court as to continuity of exhibits as required. An incumbent works within established guidelines and procedures and is independently responsible for the safekeeping of all exhibits and for controlling the internal and external movement of same. Performs related work as required.Qualifications include completion of Grade 12 plus sound related experience in general office, clerical or storekeeping work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Sound knowledge of methods and procedures used in receiving, recording, storing, and controlling the movement of a variety of police exhibits and stolen, seized and found property. Ability to manually lift, sort, arrange and store exhibit and property items of varying bulk and weight; to perform clerical and custodial duties under minimum supervision; to prepare, maintain and control files; to give evidence in Court on matters related to the work. Valid Driver?s License for the Province of British Columbia is required.
