Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Floriculture production. Hot. Odours. Outdoors. Tasks: Direct greenhouse and nursery operations. Greenhouse cleaning. Organize greenhouse and nursery operations. Weeding. Control reported insect, disease and weed problems. Establish work schedules. Hire, train and supervise staff. Order materials and stock. Provide product care and other information and service to customers. Supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Chemical application certificate or licence. Type of product: Bedding plants. Area of specialization: Horticulture. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail.
