The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) is an ISO 9001:2015-certified organization established in 1975 to support prairie farmers and agricultural machinery manufacturers. Over the years, PAMI has expanded its expertise to serve the mining and transportation industries while maintaining its focus on agriculture. PAMI provides excellence in product development, testing, and design. Position Summary:Reporting to the Shop Lead, the incumbent provides mechanical and fabrication trades support services to applied research and development projects in the shop and in the field. The following are the general duties of these positions but are not inclusive of all the detailed tasks that may be required. Provide support for projects: fabrication, machining, welding, sheet metal work, equipment repair and operation, jig building, carpentry, painting, machine assembly, boiler operations, and other project support Assist with fabrication, design and development of prototype machines and test equipment including troubleshooting Operation and repair of machinery in the shop and field Providing trades guidance to support staff Address and resolve any issues in a timely manner Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General knowledge blueprint and work instruction reading/interpretation Agricultural machinery operation is desirable Credentials and Experience: At least 5 years experience with shop tools, equipment, and fabrication Welding certificate Red Seal is considered an asset Benefits: Competitive base salary Pension Plan Group Insurance Benefits Employee and Family Assistance Program Annual Vacation Leave- LocationHumboldt, SK
