The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties: Provide support and programming to students in and out of the classroomCollaborate with teachers in implementing and supporting individualized plans for students with various needsMaintain records and student progress, discuss with team members any changes which may be made to an individual students programSupport and assist students and the school as assignedRespond flexibly to changes in schedule and to the needs of students, and at times may be required to engage in personal careSupport and participate in a wide variety of field trips, sports, social, recreational and craft activitiesParticipate during supervision time and in extra-curricular activitiesOther work-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisorThe suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:Grade 12 diploma or equivalentPrevious experience is preferredMust be prepared to work with children with various skills and abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentialityCompletion of a recognized Post-Secondary Special Education Assistant program shall be considered as an assetAbility to lift and position students of varying weightsPrefer to have or willing to obtain First Aid CertificateExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenMust provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check- LocationLa Ronge, SK
