*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for educating others and a commitment to fostering safe driving practices. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for their driving tests while instilling confidence and responsibility behind the wheel. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively educate students in both classroom settings and practical driving scenarios. *Responsibilities* * Conduct classroom sessions to educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and vehicle operation (optional with further training) * Provide hands-on instruction during behind-the-wheel training, ensuring students develop essential driving skills. * Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving abilities. * Prepare students for their driving tests by conducting mock exams and addressing any areas of concern. * Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance. * Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding training schedules, expectations, and progress. * Stay updated on regulations and best practices in driver education. * Maintain a positive attitude and act in a prfoessional manner at all times. * This is a zero-tolerance workplace for drugs, alcohol and abusive behavior. *Requirements* * A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. * Sucessful candidate must be licensed by ICBC to teach driving in BC with a current certification. * At least 1 year previous experience as a licensed instructor preferred * Must pass RCMP criminal record check and working with vulnerable peope check for working with children. * Familiarity with classroom management techniques is beneficial for maintaining an engaging learning environment. * Prior experience as a driving instructor or in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this role. We may extend an offer of employment to the right person, subject to them completing all the requirements of licensing.
