The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMERSupport the business and overall team by providing general analytical support to the Actuarial functionAssist in the preparation of statistical analyses or financial statements, involving premiums, losses and expenses documenting and verifying applied factors, methodologies and assumptionsAssist in developing management, financial and actuarial data, models or toolsProduce documents for regulatory submissionsSHAREHOLDERConsistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriateBe knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional areaProtect the interests of the organization ? identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk activities as necessaryIdentify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the disciplineAdhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelinesKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsContribute to the rating team's innovation culture that will allow the company to increase its competitiveness.Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEMPLOYEE / TEAMParticipate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interestSupport the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unitParticipate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own teamKeep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activitiesContribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforceAct as a brand champion for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externallyBREADTH & DEPTHEntry level role with a focus on providing functional specialized business services, advisory or process / program support for own area of specialty, within defined parametersRequires sound conceptual knowledge in their own field of specialtyTypically no supervisory accountability but may provide informal guidance to othersWorks under close management supervision and guidanceMay lead small projects and / or support work streams of a bigger projectGenerally reports to a Manager / Senior Manager roleEXP- LocationMontréal, QC
