*The Director of Business Development will be an expert in their field, and will have the following skills, abilities and professional traits:*
As Director of Business Development, you will take full ownership of Roamlii?s revenue growth and sales cycle, including lead generation, client acquisition, and account retention. You will be responsible for setting and achieving ambitious sales targets, driving the development and execution of effective sales strategies, and fostering a culture of excellence. This role includes leadership responsibilities, such as building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with the company?s strategic goals, and continuously refining processes to achieve sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and identifying potential customers, promoting our digital membership products as well as the front-end discovery suite, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. While also managing and continuously finessing our CRM database, our tagging strategy, email nurture sequences, and outbound sales communications.
This role requires exceptional communication skills, a competitive spirit, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. There will also be substantial collaboration and mentorship opportunities with the Founder and CEO, and extensive collaboration with marketing and the product development team, to ensure we achieve harmonization of product development activities and the sales and marketing messaging.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Leadership and Revenue Machine Ownership*
* *Own Revenue Growth:* Take full responsibility for driving company-wide revenue growth through effective sales strategies and execution
* *Lead the Sales Cycle:* Oversee all stages of the sales process, from lead generation and qualification to deal closure and client retention
* *Build and Manage a Team:* Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and success
* *Strategic Alignment:* Align sales initiatives with the company?s strategic objectives, ensuring consistent progress toward growth goals
* *Process Optimization:* Continuously refining sales processes, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency, scalability, and results
*Lead Generation and Outreach*
* *Identify Opportunities: *Prospect, qualify, and develop new leads through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and introductory calling, using consultative selling techniques.
* *Customer Engagement: *Execute a high volume of introductory calls and live customer interactions to establish relationships and drive sales.
*Sales Presentation and Target Achievement*
* *Demonstrate Value: *Present and promote community membership products to potential customers through online demos, email communications, and phone calls.
* *Drive Results: *Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets by closing sales and improving customer retention rates.
*Strategic Collaboration and Marketing Alignment*
* *Collaborate Effectively: *Partner with the CEO and marketing team to develop impactful sales materials, promotions, and campaigns that align with the company's strategic objectives.
* *Share Insights: *Track and report sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends to the CEO to inform strategic decisions.
*Industry Knowledge and Professional Development*
* *Stay Informed: *Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events to remain current on market trends and best practices.
