If so, School District 35 (Langley) has the perfect opportunity for you.<p>Role Overview <p>In this role of HR Officer, you will report to the Director of Human Resources and will play a crucial role by leading strategic recruitment activities to attract top talent. You will work closely with hiring managers and union representatives to ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process. Your experience in HR generalist duties will also be essential in supporting various HR functions within our complex and dynamic unionized organization.<p>Key Responsibilities <p><p> Working with key interest holders, develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to meet the organization's talent needs.<p> Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.<p> Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media, and professional networks.<p> Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to identify the best fit for the organization.<p> Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to offer negotiation and onboarding.<p> Build and maintain strong relationships with union groups to support the work of the HR Officers (generalists). <p> Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and labor relations.<p> Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and HR management.<p><p>Required Qualifications <p><p> Diploma in Human Resources Management and <p> Minimum of 3 years of similar experience in Human Resources within specialized experience in recruitment <p> CPHR designation or candidate status is an asset<p> Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and ability to interpret and support collective agreement language<p> Proven ability to abide by and maintain strict confidentiality<p> Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability contribute to effective working relationships<p> Proven ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision; prioritize and take initiative<p> Demonstrated ability to collaborate and perform effectively as a member of a team<p> Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to work through problems<p> Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up and prioritize the needs of the business groups <p> Ability to attend off-site events or meetings, travel, and possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
