Job description *Company Information* 100% Canadian owned and operated, First Choice Beverage Inc. manufactures juices and non-dairy beverages for major brands and food retailers. With about 90 employees, the operations run 24 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. First Choice Beverage Inc., is looking to hire a Quality Control Technician to work in the QC and Micro Labs. *Please note this position is rotating shifts.* *Responsibilities and Expectations* * To ensure that all products produced and shipped from FCB meet customer specifications. (Micro, Leakers, Formulation, etc.) * To issue batch sheets and verify completeness and accuracy * To issue release notices as required for Juice and Soya batches * To complete all forms correctly and accurately (e.g. Line Check forms) * To check, verify and issue acceptance notices for Soya, Rice, Sugar and OJ concentrates * To verify sanitations records * To be cross trained for QC and Micro lab work * To perform Micro lab work for low and high acid products (stress testing, media preparation, dilution preparation, plating, plate reading, water sample testing, swab plating from various areas, autoclaving, etc.) * To keep your work area clean, secure and follow GMP?s and procedures provided * To work in a safe and healthy environment * To be innovative in coming up with solutions to problems * To work with your supervisor on related issues * To advise your supervisor of improvements in your area or in the process *Knowledge, Skills & Education* * Post-secondary education in a related discipline * One year of experience in a related position * Proficient in computer application (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Access) * Attention to accuracy and detail * Ability to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills * Must be available to work shift work, holidays, and weekends Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Overtime * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
