*Position Outline:* Reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the incumbent will be a key resource, to support the engineer / configure to order engineering process within a project based OEM environment. Leveraging on SolidWorks skills, along with a standardization mindset and ERP database environment, the incumbent will be responsible to execute various design tasks for new product development, updating / improving existing designs along with supporting in house and outsourced manufacturing processes. Preference will be provided to candidates with pharmaceutical, bioprocess and food processing equipment experience. *Key Responsibilities:* * Preparation of overall machine design concepts for custom designed special purpose equipment and systems * Detailed machine design including preparation of machine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings * Conduct design reviews * Sourcing & specification of mechanical commercial components pertaining to designs * Preparation of Mechanical Bill?s of Material and systems documentation * Assist with Drawing file system administration, project documentation * Liaison between engineering and manufacturing departments *Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:* * Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent * 5 ? 10 years of design experience in a custom machine building environment. * Preference will be provided to candidates with pharmaceutical, bioprocess and food processing equipment experience. * Good mechanical aptitude * Extensive experience with Solidworks? in a machine design capacity * Familiarity with PDM document management system * Good communications ability * Familiarity with modern machine controls including Programmable Controllers * Understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic controls Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
