*POSITION SUMMARY:*
This position reports directly to the Director, Inventory Management & Reporting and supports our inventory management system by ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
*ORGANIZATION:*
Freshstone Brands Inc. (?FBI?) is a premier manufacturer of high-quality prepared food products that services the retail, foodservice, and co-manufacturing channels. The Company?s products include branded and private label entrees, salads, sides, appetizers, hand-held foods, and other prepared foods. FBI supplies fresh and some frozen items to major Canadian retailers for sale ?behind the glass? or in packaged formats in the perimeter of the store, as well as to well-known foodservice customers, and some major branded food businesses under contract.
FBI manufactures its products in 6 manufacturing plants which are SQF Level 3 certified strategically located across Canada, giving FBI critical mass, and geographic proximity to the US market.
With its own brands, FBI services all the major Grocery, Mass, Club and Food Service customers in Canada either directly or through distributor and broker relationships. Additionally, FBI has co-developed and launched a variety of ?own-label? and private label programs with a wide range of blue-chip, recognized retailers and food service companies across North America.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Monitoring Shelf life for finished product at DC.
* Investigate root causes of Production, Shipping, and Inventory variances.
* Generate daily and weekly activity reports.
* Accurately track and process data in the ERP database related to the use of the correct LOT codes (FIFO)
* Inspect data in the ERP system and highlight any FIFO issues with DC team.
* Resolving production issues regarding lot codes, best before dating, inventory discrepancies, WIP and raw material consumption and other related tasks as assigned
* Monitor and analyze Safety Stock and Re-order Points for all items.
* Assist in ERP upgrades currently being implemented.
* Other duties and projects as assigned by Director, Inventory Management & Reporting
*EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES*
* Good computer skills (Microsoft suite of products, excel, word) are a requirement.
* Knowledge of an ERP system is a requirement.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
* Experience in food processing plant preferred.
* Shipping / receiving experience is an asset
*WORKING CONDITIONS*
* Combination of office environment (desk/computer work), and production environment
* Combination of standing/walking/lifting and sitting
* Occasional stair climbing
