The Cancer Registrar I reports to the Manager of Cancer Registry.QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Health Information ManagementSix (6) months of experience in cancer registry coding within the last three (3) years ORIf no such applicant found, One (1) year of experience as a Health Information Practitioner (HIP)Memberships: Active membership with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA)Skills:Demonstrated medical knowledgeCompetent in the use of a variety of softwareAbility to operate all types of office equipmentAbility to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writingModerate judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternativesHuman relations skills required to exercise common courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in the exchange of informationAccuracy of fine motor movements required for typing and sorting chartsAbility to coordinate and periodically assume responsibility for ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationRegina, SK
