Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Physician's office. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records . Clean and maintain equipment. Record vital signs. Clean and dress wounds. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history.
