Marriott Ottawa is preparing to begin a transformative, top-to-bottom renovation of all guestrooms, event space, restaurants and public areas, commencing in 2023, positioning the hotel to continue its storied legacy of hospitality excellence. *Be* where you can do your best work, *Begin* your purpose, *Belong* to an amazing global team, and *Become* the best version of you. *YOU?RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:* * Are Caring * Are a Storyteller * Are Extraordinary * Are Open Minded *YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:* * Receive all delivered supplies for the hotel and deliver them to the department where they will be checked by the supervisor before being dispensed to the correct area for storage. * Verifying quantities received match the order bill to complete receipt of goods. * Log all invoices and order bills with the Accounting office. * Clean the shelving and floor in the store room as well as all the walk-in coolers and freezers daily on various floors. * Use the Birch street purchasing system to create POs and to input received goods to confirm delivery. * Contact suppliers to place authorized orders from the hotel. * Maintain and cleaned/sanitized the loading dock at all times. * Stock shelves and transfer food from freezers to fridges using the FIFO process. * Issue food and beverage to departments as per signed requisition. * Responsible for pulling any frozen foods from freezers daily and loading frozen food into freezers. * Deal with requisitions daily under the control and supervision of the supervisor. * Assist the supervisor with taking inventory using the M.I.S. (Management Information System). * All frozen food must be labeled and stored as per operating procedures. * Spot-check the quality of fresh produce delivered and report any inconsistencies to the Executive Chef. * Notify the supervisor of any problems or complaints if and when they arise. * Willing and able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross-training. * Any other requests made by the supervisor or other management, including stooping, bending, and lifting weights to and including 30 pounds are required. * Must be aware of accident prevention and help to enforce safe work conditions.
