<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join us who will install our state-of-the art aftermarket vehicle immobilizer devices. This is an on-call position and installation must be done in the customer location. This role requires the ability to drive/commute to the customer location. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge and experience with automotive wiring. This role requires the ability to understand vehicle wiring diagrams. The Automotive Technician will install and test the device ensuring adherence to all safety standards and not affect vehicle drivability.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Read and understand vehicle wiring diagrams prior to install date (vehicle specific diagrams will be provided to you)</p></li><li><p>On the install date, use the diagrams and remove vehicle trim pieces to locate a install location for the device in the vehicle</p></li><li><p>Utilize hand tools as needed to connect the device to the wiring network, ensuring all connections from the device match the appropriate wires in the vehicle.</p></li><li><p>Test the device for immobilization functionalities ensuring the device performs as desired</p></li><li><p>Ensure the installation adheres to all safety standards and not affect vehicle performance and drivability.</p></li><li><p>Put the trim pieces back in place.</p></li><li><p>Be available for troubling shooting in case of any future problems that may arise.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated on automotive technology advancements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>The ideal candidate must have</strong></p><ul><li><p>In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including deep understanding of CAN, MS-CAN buses and other information buses of the car's electrical system.</p></li><li><p>1 -2 years prior experience working with car electronics and/or installing aftermarket alarm systems, radio, sound systems.</p></li><li><p>Certificate of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades Ontario Certificate of Qualification / Red Seal</p></li><li><p>Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring and mechanical component diagrams.</p></li><li><p>A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all tasks performed.</p></li><li><p>Professionalism and good communication skills to coordinate and confirm install date and time with company representatives.</p></li><li><p>Arrive at least 10 mins early for the install.</p></li><li><p>Basic tools for electrical work.
