<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Configuration and administration of routers, switches, firewalls and Linux servers</li><li>Designing the network topologies, create and maintain Visio / Lucidchart diagrams, configuration templates, IP addressing (NetBox IPAM) and the low-level design documents that contains all the switching/routing details, migration steps, bandwidth analysis and security policy controls</li><li>Write and implements scripts to automate tasks in Linux (Python/Bash/PHP)</li><li>Manage various virtualization environments (Proxmox, Xen, ESXi)</li><li>Utilize the network monitoring tools to pinpoint issues and bottlenecks in the network and take the necessary steps to rectify it.</li><li>Collaborate with various internal groups, business units to understand the applications and provide end to end network solution as per the firm's network standards.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues from L2 to L4 of the OSI layer in the network.</li><li>Configure and route multicast traffic across the network (PIM, IGMP).</li><li>Building, installing and mounting servers and network equipment's in the DataCenter</li><li>Troubleshooting server hardware and fine tuning Linux OS settings to achieve required perfomance</li><li>Provide break down of an issue to NOC to enable them understand and explain the problem to the client.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualification:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Expert in classless and classful IPv4 address designing, deploying and management.</p><ul><li>In-depth knowledge on Routing, Switching and Network Security with the broad industry experience (OSPF, BGP, PIM) on Cisco; Brocade as a plus.</li></ul><p>• 3-5 years of experience with designing and implementing large enterprise network environments and with Linux system administration. CCNP or equivalent or higher industry certification are preferred</p><p>• Hands on experience with Cisco Catalyst 6500 platform, Nexus (5K,9K) switches and Cisco ASA/PFsense firewalls.</p><ul><li>Thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocol family and network security technologies.</li><li>Designed and built a multi-tier DMZ Network with micro and macro segmentation</li><li>Experience in migrating large scale datacenters and providing the support for the applications migrations.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential.</li><li>Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able to explain network design, articulate risk and facilitate decision making.</li><li>Experience in network data analysis with tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump</li><li>Experience in performing administrative tasks on Linux Servers (CentOS and Ubuntu)</li></ul><p>• Hands on experience with Cisco and Brocade network equipment.</p><p>• Experienced in configuring multicast nodes and routing multicast traffic across the network</p><p>• Hands on experience with PFsense firewall.</p><p>• Thorough knowledge of server level operations and software principles utilizing Linux CLI.</p><p>• Hands on experience on building, operating and troubleshoot virtual private server (VPS)</p><p>• Able to work extra hours if and when required (Maintenance activities and emergencies).</p><p> </p><p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of any scripting languages (Python or Perl or shell)</li><li>CompTIA Linux +, CCIE RS</li></ul><p><strong>Please be advised:</strong></p><p><strong>In-person timed "IPv4 fundamentals" test will be conducted prior to the interview, passing the test 80% or above is required to proceed to the interview stage.</strong></p></div>Company Description<div>Nextologies is a leading broadcast technology managed services provider, trusted by top broadcasters, enterprise corporations, and emerging companies to engineer, deliver, and monitor solutions that unlock their businesses' potential without requiring them to invest in new infrastructure. <br><- LocationMarkham, ON
