*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, acute care, pediatrics, and patient care within a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication administration and will work closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. *Duties* * Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. * Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently. * Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions. * Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans. * Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapies as necessary. * Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management. * Educate patients and staff on medication-related topics, including proper administration techniques. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice. *Qualifications* * Active Pharmacist license in Alberta and are in good standing with the respective AB College of Pharmacy. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Injection certification * Additional Prescribing authorization. * Propel Rx software Knowledge. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $70.00-$80.00 per hour Expected hours: 9 ? 18 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Retention bonus Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * pharmacist: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * AB Pharmacist License (preferred) * Additional prescribing and Injection authorizations (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationCold Lake, AB
