The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMERLead the overall team and ensure knowledge and capabilities are effectively managed to support medium to longer term business needsLead the communication, interpretation, application, and implementation of results for actuarial analysisDirect, plan and oversee resources within allocated actuarial function(s) to fulfil departmental responsibilitiesProvide leadership and professional development to Actuarial staff to ensure a knowledgeable and highly motivated teamCommunicate complex actuarial concepts in clear, easy to understand terminology to promote impacts / ramifications to senior leadership and risk managementMonitor competitiveness and market intelligence to adapt strategiesManage the development and evolution of telematics pricing data, reports and modelsSHAREHOLDERWork closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scaleChallenge business appropriately ensuring best interest of the organization is consideredNegotiate with external regulators to implement proposed rating programs successfullyManage overall budget, revenue and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectivenessProtect the interests of the organization ? identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsOversee or lead the facilitation and/or implementation of action / remediation plans to address performance / risk / governance issuesMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEnsure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of ConductEMPLOYEE / TEAMResponsible for management of the overall team providing leadership, and guidance for own area of specializationGrow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value deliveredLead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employeesManage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures and guidelines of conductShare knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teamsSupport an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and su
