Demands, duties, qualifications Qualifications: Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and current Nurse Practitioner License is required. The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential. Experience working independently with limited supervision. Maintaining certification in BCLS and the willingness to complete certification in ACLS, PALS within two years of appointment to the position are required.In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, consideration may be given to applicants who do not currently possess a Nurse Practitioner License, but are qualified to enroll in an approved Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (MN/NP) program. In this case, the successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate proof of registration/enrollment upon appointment and provide updates based on the progress of each semester of the program.*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
