Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Instruct apprentices. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Order parts and maintain inventory. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Welding experience. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Verify and repair emission control systems. Perform other routine maintenance. Perform preventive maintenance. Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of product: Hydraulic pumps. Instrument experience: Hydraulic. Equipment and machinery experience: Diesel engines. Brakes. Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system. Exhaust system. Engine control system. Major internal engine repairs or overhaul. Installation and alignment of engines and machinery. Powered equipment repair specialization: Pumps. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions. Hydraulic transmissions. Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering. Highway vehicle tires and wheels. Brake system.
