The Westville & Area Planning and Recreation Commission (Arena Commission) is looking to hire an Arena Manager. The Arena Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversite of the facility and its staff. The Arena Commission is looking for a candidate that will not only oversee the day-to-day operation but will be able to grow revenue to help sustain the facility?s future. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the Commission in seeking and applying for additional funding and revenue streams for future projects at the facility.

The Westville & Area Planning and Recreation Commission (Arena Commission) is looking to hire an Arena Manager. The Arena Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversite of the facility and its staff. The Arena Commission is looking for a candidate that will not only oversee the day-to-day operation but will be able to grow revenue to help sustain the facility?s future. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the Commission in seeking and applying for additional funding and revenue streams for future projects at the facility.
*Qualifications, Duties & Application Process: *
*General Duties (include but not limited to):*
· Determination to actively pursue funding, ice rentals, signage, and advertising to boost revenue.
· Day to day: bookkeeping, payroll, staffing, schedules, budget, forecasting, general maintenance, ice maintenance (as required).
· Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
· Manager must be available after hours to problem solve mechanical and general issues requiring immediate attention.
*Qualifications:*
The ideal candidate will have functional knowledge of hockey arenas and should have solid knowledge of ice making and maintenance including use of ice making equipment such as Zamboni & Edgers. The candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, and able to deal with a diverse public.
_*Although not required the following would be considered an asset:*_
· WHMIS & First Aid Training (will be provided).
· Refrigeration Ticket.
· Experience applying for Government grants / programs.
