*Job Title*: Ophthalmic Technician (Full-Time) *Location*: *Ottawa - Focus Medical Ancillary* *Job Summary*: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled *Ophthalmic Technician* to join our high-paced and dynamic team. This full-time position requires a motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment, is comfortable working closely with an ophthalmologist, and is committed to delivering excellent patient care. *Responsibilities*: * Perform *Goldmann applanation tonometry* accurately and efficiently. * Conduct *slit lamp examinations* to assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing and managing eye conditions. * Record detailed patient histories and conduct pre-examination testing. * Operate diagnostic equipment such as OCT, visual fields, and fundus photography as required. * Work closely with an ophthalmologist to support patient care and ensure efficient clinic flow. * Manage patient flow to ensure the clinic runs efficiently and patients are seen promptly. * Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and post-operative care. *Qualifications*: * Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a related role is highly preferred. * Proficiency in performing Goldmann tonometry and slit lamp examinations is mandatory. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a high volume of patients. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an advantage. *Salary*: * Salary is *TBD* and will be determined based on experience and qualifications. *Why Join Us?* * Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and fulfilling environment. * Collaborate closely with experienced ophthalmologists and a supportive team. * Contribute to providing exceptional eye care to our patients. *How to Apply*: If you are passionate about eye care and thrive in a high-energy clinical setting, we would love to hear from you.
