The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment. \*\*Responsibilities:\*\* - Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative menus - Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques - Ensure food quality meets established standards - Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Train and mentor kitchen employees on proper techniques and procedures - Monitor compliance with food safety regulations \*\*Requirements:\*\* - Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team - Knowledge of food service industry best practices - Proficiency in food preparation techniques and cooking methods - Understanding of food safety standards and regulations - Excellent communication and organizational skills Nice-to-have Skills: - Team management experience - Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking styles Join our team as a Sous Chef and be part of a dynamic culinary environment dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences in Barrie ON.
