*Job Summary*
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership abilities, a commitment to food safety, and a dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
*Responsibilities*
* Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food preparation activities.
* Assist in menu planning and recipe development while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
* Oversee food safety practices, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food presentation, and sanitation practices.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet the restaurant's standards for quality and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Assist with bartending duties as required during peak service times.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
* Excellent culinary skills with experience in food preparation techniques across various cuisines.
* Familiarity with restaurant management principles, including inventory control and cost management.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
