*Job Summary* We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to transport, load, and unload goods and materials safely and efficiently within our facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse/logistics processes while adhering to all safety and operational protocols. *Key Responsibilities* *1.* ***Equipment Operation* * Operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport goods. * Perform pre-operational checks to ensure the forklift is in good working condition. *2.* ***Material Handling* * Move materials within the warehouse and to/from loading docks, storage areas, or production lines. * Stack and store goods appropriately to maximize space utilization and prevent damage. *3.* ***Inventory Management* * Assist in tracking and managing inventory through accurate logging of goods moved or stored. * Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor immediately. *4.* ***Safety Compliance* * Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. * Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts, reporting issues as needed. *5.* ***Team Collaboration* * Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics personnel to meet deadlines and targets. * Assist in other warehouse duties such as packing, sorting, or general housekeeping when required. *Qualifications* *1.* ***Education and Certification* * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification before starting. *2.* ***Experience* * Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred. * Familiarity with warehouse software (e.g., inventory management systems) is a plus. *3.* ***Skills* * Ability to operate forklifts and related equipment safely and efficiently. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Basic math and record-keeping skills. *4.* ***Physical Requirements* * Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [Insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) regularly. * Comfort working in varying environments, including cold storage or outdoor areas. * Ability to remain on feet for extended periods. *Key Competencies* * Safety Awareness * Time management * Communication skills * Problem-solving abilities * Teamwork and reliability *Application Instructions:* If you meet the qualifications and are excited to join a dynamic team, please submit your resume and a copy of your forklift certification to sarvjeet@absolutions.ca.
