Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Other miscellaneous animal farming. Outdoors. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment. Work with honey bees. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Interac with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system. Supervision: 3-4 people. Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Detect bee diseases . Extract honey manually. Harvest, extract and package honey and beeswax. Manage bee colonies for the production of honey and pollination purposes. . Manage the overall operations of a bee farm. Oversee the honey extraction. Treat bees with antibiotics . Automated honey extractor. Apiary management. Harvesting honey. Honey farm. Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck. Forklift. Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Valid driver's licence. Drive manual transmission vehicle.
