*Job description* *Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the dogs in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to excellent customer service. *Responsibilities* * Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, administering medications and letting dogs out. * Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment. * Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to management. * Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients. * Administer medications as directed by veterinarians or management. * Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff. * Assist with the intake and discharge process for pets, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately. *Requirements* * Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds). * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. * A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. * A reliable vehicle is required to ensure you can properly make it to your scheduled shifts on time. * Preference to applicants that live within 5 minutes of our facility.
