Job details
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Urban area. Relocation costs covered by employer. Tasks: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. Diagnose psychiatric disorders. May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods. Prescribe medication and treatment . Refer patients for surgery. Treat diseases and physiological disorders . Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens. Prepare research papers for publication and presentation. Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases. Supervise laboratory activities. Act as consultants to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Supervision: Working groups. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Specialization in clinical medicine: Hematology. Medical oncology. Pediatrics. Radiation oncology. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Vulnerable sector check.
