Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Layer poultry farming. Other poultry farming. Work setting: Room and board provided. Tasks: Handling animals. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Feed and tend animals. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Automated systems experience: Manure handling and storage. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail.
