Keyanow Child and Family Centre Inc. (KCFC) is seeking applications for highly motivated, resourceful, courteous and compassionate individuals to fill the following position: Family Finder Assessor/Recruiter and Home Study Worker: responsible for the recruitment, assessment and training of foster care providers for children, youth & clients. The Worker will be responsible for coordinating the provision of comprehensive specialized foster home services for children in temporary or long term care and children at risk including recruiting and actively promoting the foster care program in the community, investigating, assessing and counseling new foster parent applicants to determine suitability, conducting pre-service education and assessment of foster home applicants, conducting annual review of foster home; conducting in depth home studies and documents all aspects of an applicant?s life. The Worker will provide counseling and support services and ongoing training to foster parents, investigating quality of care issues in foster homes and reassessments of active foster homes, and consult with First Nations and following established protocols as part of the planning process to ensure quality foster care service delivery. The successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work and two (2) years experience of direct child protection. Consideration will be given for candidates with other degrees that would involve working with children and families. May be required to travel and work flexible hours. SCHEDULE: The main office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm however, schedules will vary dependent upon work location. WORK LOCATION: primary locations include main office in North Battleford, Little Pine, and Poundmaker Outreach, and travel to Lucky Man Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and other areas where we have children in care. ***Only persons selected for interviews will be notified***- LocationMuskoday First Nation, SK
