This commitment is intended to ensure respect of all individuals in their role as parents and to protect the children who are attempting to remain in contact with their parents.. _*Job Summary*_ * The Supervised Access Workers responsibility is to carefully observe and document all interactions during visitation while maintaining and ensuring a safe environment for all parties involved * Visitation is intended to support contact between the child and family in a safe and controlled fashion *Purpose:* Enhanced coaching *Engagement Style:* modeling, cueing, prompting coaching *Engagement Level:* High engagement, time limited *Location:* Community and home *Focus*: Move from basic parenting skills to increasingly complex parenting skills that require a higher level of intervention by a visit supervisor (i.e) developmental needs, attunement, responsiveness, caregiver availability and awareness. Prioritize and ensure visit safety. Families First Support Services is pursuing;_ *(Starting January 15th-30th 2025) *_ * 2 Part Time Supervised Access Workers (15-20 hours per week) * 2 Full Time Supervised Access Workers (35+ hours per week) * *All applicants must be available to work both weekends and evenings* * Weekday hours of operation are 9 AM until 8 PM * Weekend hours of operation are from 9 AM until 6 PM * A reliable and safe vehicle is necessary for these positions Required Education, Skills and Qualifications for a successful candidate; * *A Resume and cover letter are a necessity to apply for the position* * *A great deal of experience in working with children and families with mental health and addiction dependencies * * *Minimum education : Diploma in Social Work or Criminal Justice * * *Seeking candidates with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology* * Police Vulnerable Sector Check * Child Intervention Record Check * A clean Drivers Abstract. * Two million dollar 3rd party liability insurance * Support work team members may have a variety of credentials, including degrees in Social Work, Psychology and the Human Services Fields * Strong Interpersonal skills * An ability to be highly organized, energetic and flexible * Exceptional Report Writing Skills with a strong command of the English language * Punctuality is key * Three written references must be provided Company Profile: familiesfirstcalgary.com No telephone calls regarding the hiring process Part-time to full time hours: 20-40 hours per week KM Pay is offered Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Work Remotely * No Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00-$26.00 per hour Benefits: * Commuter benefits * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * Day shift * Morning shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
