<p>Posting Number: T5-3914697 - Round 1<p>Description: Career Education, Social Studies, Physiology Teacher - Grades 8-12<p>Location : Fernie, BC<p>Contract Type : Part-time Temporary (0.857 FTE)<p><p>Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this part-time teaching position ranges from $54,296 to $96,279, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.<p><p>Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension.<p><p><p>Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).<p>-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. <p>-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting. <p><p><p>Job Summary: <p>(AMENDED - to reflect a revision to the FTE)<p>Career Education, Social Studies, Physiology Teacher - Grades 8-12<p><p>0.857 FTE temporary contract, starting January 27, 2024 or upon completion of the posting process to June 27, 2025 or return of the incumbent.<p><p>Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Career Education and Social Studies at the Middle School level.<p><p>This position is scheduled for 2 linear blocks of Careers 8/9, 2 linear blocks of Social Studies 9 and 1 linear block of Physiology 10/11/12.
